In accordance with Mexico’s applicable data protection laws, The Closing Company provides this Privacy Notice to its clients, prospective clients, service providers, and website visitors.
1. Who is responsible for your personal information
The Closing Company, represented by Natalia Argumedo Montenegro, is responsible for the personal information we collect in connection with our certified translation services, real estate legal coordination, and client communications.
Our office is located inside Notary Public Office No. 3 at Isabel la Católica 2100-1, Colonia Centro, ZIP Code 23000, La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

2. Information we may collect
Depending on the service you request, we may collect your name, contact information, identification documents, signature, and billing information. We may also collect information contained in civil registry records, certificates, powers of attorney, contracts, academic or employment records, immigration files, court records, notarial documents, and property or financial records, as well as documents and images you send by email, WhatsApp, or other channels. We collect only the information reasonably necessary to review your documents, prepare a quote, provide the requested service, certify the translation, and arrange delivery.
Some documents may contain sensitive personal information, such as health, biometric, family, religious, ethnic, or legal information. We process this information only when it is necessary to provide the requested service and obtain express consent when required by law.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to requests for information and prepare quotes.
- Review documents and determine the applicable requirements, cost, and estimated turnaround time.
- Translate, review, edit, certify, sign, seal, and deliver documents.
- Verify names, dates, figures, identities, and other details to ensure that the translation accurately reflects the source document.
- Communicate with you regarding questions, progress, payment, delivery, and follow-up.
- Arrange document pickup or local delivery when requested.
- Issue tax receipts, maintain service records, and comply with contractual, administrative, and legal obligations.
- Address questions, claims, and service-related concerns, and establish or defend legal rights.
4. Optional communications
With your permission, we may use your contact information to send service updates, news, or promotional communications. These communications are not required for us to provide our services. You may opt out at any time by emailing info@theclosingcompany.mx.
5. When we may share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only as needed to provide the requested service, comply with the law, or follow your instructions. Depending on the matter, recipients may include government authorities, courts, Mexican notaries public, consulates, schools, financial institutions, immigration or administrative agencies, courier and delivery services, professional advisers, and technology providers that process information on our behalf and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
When you contact us through WhatsApp, email, web-hosting services, or other technology platforms, those providers may process information under their own privacy policies and may store it outside Mexico. We limit the information we use through those services to what is reasonably necessary to respond to your request.
6. How long we keep information and how we protect it
We retain personal information and documents for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, respond to questions, meet legal and administrative obligations, and protect our rights. When retention is no longer required, the information will be deleted, restricted, or anonymized, as appropriate. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, alteration, destruction, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
7. Your ARCO rights and withdrawal of consent
Under Mexican law, you may exercise your ARCO rights by requesting access to, correction or deletion of, or objecting to the use of your personal information. You may also withdraw your consent or ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your information.
To submit a request, email info@theclosingcompany.mx and include your name, preferred method of response, a clear description of the right you wish to exercise and the information involved, proof of identity or legal authority to act for another person, and any details that will help us locate the relevant records. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. Cookies, third-party links, and browsing information
